 Andries Andrei (24.X.1933, Chisinau), physicist. Has studied in the State University from Chisinau from 1951 to 1956, post-graduate in Technical Physics Institute “A.F.Ioffe” of USSR Academy of Science. From 1962 to 1964 works in Applied Physics Institute of Moldavian Academy of Science, 1964-1967 – scientific secretary of Presidium MAS, 1967-1971 - scientific secretary in Applied Physics Institute. From 1971 – chief of laboratory, from 1978 – member of Presidium and in 1989 – president of Moldavian Academy of Science. Published works in such a domains like hyaline semiconductors, photosensitive materials without silver, fiber optics. Published over 300 works, inclusive 5 monographs. Doctor in physics and matematics (1977), professor (1992), member-correspondent of MAS (1978), academician (1984). Laureate of honorary Prize of biographical Centre in Cambridge for achievments in the XX century, honorary member of Romanian Academy and the Academy for Cosmos Tsiolkovski from Moscow… |
