Zderciuc Ion - sculptor | ||
![]() Ion Zderciuc is a mature artists, full of nerve, well equipped. He is always searching and ready for grand deeds. The artist has participated in various exhibitions, which poured down on him as from a horn of plenty; he has made an impressive variety of works in various genres, styles, materials, dimensions and forms. Ion Zderciuc approaches boldly small, "chamber" forms, but also monumental sculpture designed for vast spaces in squares and parks. The sculptor has asserted himself by compositions, where he cultivates a plastic metaphor that retains the meaning of the literary, mythological image that he sometimes uses as base. He is dedicated to sculpture, though, which he makes of clay and terracotta, bronze and stone, marble and wood. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Born 24 April 1957, Beresti, Ungheni, Moldova -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Works Pygmalion, bronze, 18x20x6, 1989 Lying nude, bronze, 28x12x13, 1991 The Lovers, bronze, 25x13x12, 1988 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All works » Education 1969-1972 - School of painting for children in Ungheni 1972-1976 - National School of Arts "A.
