The conflict between the teacher Horia Holban and the school director from Balta in the story “Belfry”(“The quince tree aroma”, 1973) is a ethical one, that has a deep phylosophical meaning.
“The departure of Tolstoi” (“Year of death, year of immortality”, 1974) recall the personality of the great russian writer.
The interest for history, announced in “Belfry” is full manifested in the novel “The white church”(1982)

The praise to the toil without limits of Pavel Rusu together with the poetical wisdom of old woman Rutsa are merging in one drama. “The Holy of holies”(1977, The central theater of Soviet Army from Moscow, 1977) is reflecting the character of statesman Mihai Gruia and those of Calin Ababii – the true brother of the land.
